“We are what we say, “Young + Fun Wedding DJs who act as your Directors of Music and Ceremonies, and are a friend throughout planning.” We believe we offer a high-quality service that can’t be matched by any other in any market, because we love each and every couple we befriend, and they seem to love being our friend too—just check out our reviews! “
Meet Matthew Davey, Director of Music and Ceremonies for Bow Tied Weddings! Matthew and his group of talented DJs are the “young and fun” crew! Together they’ll help you make lasting memories on and off the dance floor!
“With our Southern brand, it just made sense to expand into the Carolinas,” explained founder, Matthew B. Davey, “and for the past year we’ve been looking for professional DJs who will best represent our brand in Raleigh and Charleston.” After a workshop that took place at Dover Hall in Goochland County earlier this month, Bow Tied Weddings signed Jonathan Pierce in Raleigh and Nathan Dalechek in Charleston.
Matthew realized, “A lot of our weddings we had together were just really fun couples.” Kristine adds, “They were kind of our ideal client.” Matthew’s team could put on the party and Kristine’s team could capture it. Kristine gushes, “I knew when Matthew or one of his DJ’s was at a wedding, I was going to have great reception photos. The dance floor was always PACKED.” With both having entrepreneurial mindsets, the two saw an opportunity and took it. From there the partnership was born.
Why do you like working with weddings?
We love each and every friendship we enter with each and every couple. We love being involved in one of their most memorable days. We love helping them with suggestions, addressing concerns, and doing everything we can to make sure our couples, and their guests, have the time of their lives.
The right DJ for your wedding isn’t going to just show up with a playlist. He or she is going to ask you detailed questions about specific songs for those special moments, the color theme for your wedding, what songs to play and not to play, and even help coordinate with your other vendors because music is always a cue for timeline events.
